Quickstart: Launch Your Store in 30 Minutes

Welcome to ilanoShop! This guide lays out the fastest path from signup to your first sale. Follow these 6 steps to launch your professional online store in about 30 minutes.

1) Complete onboarding

When you first sign up, you'll be greeted by our setup wizard. It's crucial to complete this because it configures your store's foundation:

• Store Name: This appears in your emails and browser tabs.
• Business Type: Helps us recommend the right features for you.
• Currency: Set this correctly now, as it's hard to change after you've made sales.

Once the wizard is done, you'll land on your dashboard—your mission control center.

2) Add your first products

A store needs something to sell! Navigate to Products → Add Product.

• Title & Description: Be descriptive. Use keywords your customers might search for.
• Images: Upload at least 3 high-quality photos. Show different angles and the product in use.
• Price: Set your selling price. You can also add a "Compare at" price to show a discount.
• Inventory: Track stock so you don't oversell.

Pro Tip: Use the "Duplicate" feature if you're adding similar items to save time.

3) Connect payments

You can't launch without a way to get paid. We use Stripe Connect to deposit funds directly into your bank account.

1. Go to Settings → Payments.
2. Click Connect Stripe.
3. Follow the prompts to sign in or create a Stripe account. You'll need your bank details handy.

Once connected, the status will change to "Active". You can now accept Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, and more.

4) Configure shipping & taxes

Nothing kills a conversion faster than surprise costs at checkout. Be clear about shipping.

• Shipping: Go to Settings → Shipping. We recommend creating a "Flat Rate" rule (e.g., $5.00) or offering "Free Shipping" over a certain amount (e.g., Free over $50).
• Taxes: Go to Settings → Taxes. Enable tax calculation and set your default rate based on your location.

5) Add your domain

Your default store URL is your-brand.ilanoshop.com. While this works, a custom domain like your-brand.com builds much more trust.

1. Buy a domain from a registrar like GoDaddy or Namecheap if you haven't already.
2. In ilanoShop, go to Settings → Domain.
3. Enter your domain name and click "Add".
4. We'll provide you with DNS records (A record and CNAME) to add at your registrar.
5. Once added, click "Verify". SSL certificates are provisioned automatically.

6) Review and publish

You're almost there! Before removing the password protection:

• Preview your store: Click the eye icon in the sidebar.
• Check links: Click on your menus, footer links, and social icons.
• Place a test order: make sure the checkout flows smoothly.

Ready? Go to Settings → General and toggle "Store Visibility" to Public. Congratulations, you're open for business!
