Set Up Payments with Stripe Connect

ilanoShop partners with Stripe, the industry standard for online payments, to ensure your transactions are secure and your payouts are reliable. Setting this up is a requirement to launch your store.

Why Stripe Connect?

We chose Stripe Connect for several reasons:

• Security: They handle PCI compliance, so you don't have to worry about storing credit card data.
• Speed: Payouts are deposited directly to your bank account on a rolling basis.
• Global Reach: Accept payments from customers worldwide in 135+ currencies.

How to connect your account

The process usually takes about 5 minutes.

1. Log in to your ilanoShop admin dashboard.
2. Navigate to Settings → Payments.
3. Click the blue Connect Stripe button.
4. You will be redirected to Stripe's secure onboarding page.
5. If you have a Stripe account: Log in with your existing credentials.
6. If you are new to Stripe: You'll need to provide some business details (name, address, tax ID) and your bank account information (for payouts).
7. Once finished, you'll be redirected back to ilanoShop.

When you see the "Connected" status with a green checkmark, you are ready to accept real money.

Testing payments

Before you announce your launch, it's smart to verify that money can actually move.

Using Test Mode

Currently, you can toggle "Test Mode" in your payment settings. This allows you to use Stripe's test card numbers (like the famous 4242 4242 4242 4242) to simulate a successful transaction without spending real money.

Live Transaction

To be 100% sure, disable Test Mode, go to your live storefront, and buy your cheapest product using your own credit card. You can then refund yourself immediately from the dashboard.

Payout schedule

Once you make sales, the money usually lands in your Stripe account instantly, but takes a few days to transfer to your bank.

• First payout: The first layout often takes 7–14 days as Stripe verifies your business.
• Subsequent payouts: Usually arrive on a 2-day rolling basis (e.g., Monday's sales arrive Wednesday).

You can view your upcoming payouts and transfer history directly in your Stripe Dashboard (manage at stripe.com).
